The Department of English and Communication Studies is housed within the Division of Modern Languages and Literatures. Programs are offered leading to a major in English, a major in English and Communication Studies, and a major in English with teacher licensure. The department also offers a minor in English and a interdisciplinary minor in Communication Studies.
