Randy R. Hunt has been a faculty member at Greensboro College for 10 years and has served as chair of the division of education and chair of the department of physical education. He holds advanced degrees from West Virginia University and certifications from the State Department of Public Instruction and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His wife, Shelley, and children, Tanner and Kasey, reside in northwest Greensboro and love the climate and lifestyle of the area.

Before coming to Greensboro College, Hunt taught and coached at both the high school and collegiate levels and served as chair of the division of physical education and associate athletics director at Glenville State College. He currently teaches courses in physical education program, but has spent the majority of his time in recent years developing the new sport and exercise studies program. Hunt has served on almost every major committee at the College and recently chaired the search committee to select the new dean of the faculty.
A few of the highlights of his professional service include recent stints as president of Triad North Carolina Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa, a professional fraternity for educators, and as president of the School Health Association. Hunt has been active in the community, participating in various programs in the public schools and working with the local YMCA chapters. His current professional focus is on the continued development of the internship program and labs in new Proctor Hall East to support a growing sport and exercise studies program.
"This new facility provides space and opportunities for growth that we did not have before," said Hunt. "I am as excited about the new facility as the students. We will be able to provide new and varied experiences for our students which will make our programs in sport and exercise studies and physical education even better."
