MICHELLE 
LESPERANCE

Michelle M. Lesperance was named program director and assistant professor of the athletic training education program at Greensboro College in August of 2000.

Lesperance previously was employed as program director and instructor of the 
athletic training education program at Newman University in Wichita, Kan--where she was also the head athletic trainer.  At Via Christi Sports Medicine, Lesperance was the staff athletic trainer for two area high schools in which she was responsible for over 1000 athletes.

Lesperance received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Binghamton 
University. She earned a master of science degree in physical education with a concentration in athletic training from Illinois State University. 

Lesperance is a member of the following professional committees: Kansas Board of Healing Arts, Kansas State High School Athletic Association and SAFE Kids Coalition Sports Medicine committee.  Lesperance also has been involved with research and publications on kinesiology, plyometrics and StairMaster exercise.  She is also a nationally registered emergency medical technician.

Lesperance and her husband Brian live in Greensboro, N.C.
