The coaches’ award in women’s soccer goes to Collins Anderson. “Despite seeing limited action as a senior, Collins personified hard work and determination,” said Coach Bari. “Whether in practice or games, Collins always gave it her all--no matter how challenging the situation. Collins was consistently competitive on the field of play. Her positive attitude and devotion to the team will truly be missed."

The coaches’ award in women’s basketball is presented to junior Bobbie Barnes.  “The consistency that Bobbie brought to our program has been invaluable,” Coach Tuggle said. “We always count on Bobbie to give it her all for the sake of the team.  It is a joy to coach a player like Bobbie Barnes.”

The men’s soccer coaches’ award goes to sophomore Quinton Hurdle. “Sometimes in coaching you are lucky enough to come across a student-athlete who makes  you want to be a better person. That is how I feel about Quinton,” said Coach Brady. “He is selfless, charismatic and--above all--the embodiment of the type of individual we want representing GC men’s soccer."

Sophomore Brianne McAlister earned the women’s cross country coaches’ award honor. “It was a pleasure to have Brianne on the team this year,” said Coach Tuggle.” She constantly worked hard and developed in order to make the team better.  Every school needs a Brianne in their program.”

The coaches’ award in men’s lacrosse goes to sophomore Neal McKinney. “When we needed someone to step up on offense, Neal did ,” said Coach Cetrone.  “He led us in scoring but it wasn’t always a goal or an assist that he produced. Neal set the tone, and excelled on ‘Man Up,’ and face offs, too. “

Senior James Newman is men’s basketball coaches’ award winner. “James has meant more to this year’s team than scoring points or defending opponents,” noted Coach Galuski.  “His leadership ability and work ethic epitomize the true student-athlete.  James has a bright future ahead of him.”
