The second group of award winners is the Coaches’ Award recipients. Would these honorees please proceed to stage left? Once again, they are being announced alphabetically within this category.

Coaches’ Award winners are often characterized by the saying “there is no ‘I’ in the word ‘team.’ Both on and off the field, court or deck, they lead by example. These student-athletes exemplify, in the eyes of their coaches, the consummate team player who goes above and beyond to make a difference for their teams.

The football coach’s award is presented to senior Tim Bagamary.  “Tim finished his career with his greatest season, highlighted by his 10 catch 145 yard performance in the Souper Bowl,” said Coach Mitchell. “For four years Tim's leadership has provided everyone associated with our program a tremendous day-to-day example of the commitment to excellence that we want to define our program.”

Jessica Clack is the softball MVP. “Jessica was a leader on our team and demonstrated the drive and passion,” Coach Tucker said. “Clack finished the year helping lead her team to the conference championship.”

The women’s basketball Coaches award winner is Katie Freeman. "Katie is steady in all aspects her life and is a great example for teammates,” Coach Tuggle said. “She has excelled in a variety of roles and has been a key player in our last two championships."

Senior Susan Harris, who has won more doubles matches than any other Pride woman, earned the women’s tennis Coaches award. “Susan has played in a very tough position at the number two slot, and also at number one doubles,” said Coach McCain. “But she always fought hard and gave her best this year.”

Junior Quinton Hurdle earns men’s soccer’s coach’s award. “I’ve said it before, but Q is the type of young man that makes you want to be a better person,” noted Coach Brady. “Our program is better because we have a quality person like Quinton."

Victor Lopez earned the top newcomer honor in men’s cross country. “ Victor is a tireless worker with a passion to compete,” said Coach Tuggle.  “His positive energy and enthusiasm has made Victor a pleasure to coach.”
