GC at Va. Wesleyan Invitational

The Greensboro College Cross Country teams traveled to the Virginia Wesleyan Invitational to face a tough field on Saturday.

The women’s team finished sixth out of the seven teams involved. Leading the way for The Pride was senior Tracey Comune, who set a GC school record in the 5K with a time of 21:35. Comune’s time was good enough for ninth place overall at the meet. Other Pride times were by Kristi Hunter (23:18), Amanda Herron (24:42), Tara Gibson (25:04) and Keri Collins (29:26).

The Pride men’s cross-country team participated as well in this weekend’s tournament. Lloyd Dunham led the men’s team in the 8K run with a time of 30:26, which earned him 20th place at the meet. Other Pride times were by James Teel (31:52), Nick Dishler (32:08), Lucas Conkle (38:39) and Kevin Eagan (38:44).
