Pride Runners Earn Three All-USAS

The USA South Athletic Conference
has announced its All-Conference awards for men's and women's cross country.
Three Pride harriers--Doug Holbrook (Thomasville, NC) Mike Barnard
(Durham,
NC) and Bett Shelby (Matthews, NC)--received all-conference
recognition.
Christopher Newport led the way with
seven selections for both men and women, along with sweeping the major
awards. Captains Emily Low and Bridgett Dryer were named Runner and Rookie
of the Year, respectively. On the men's side, Cary Chaffee has been named
Runner of the Year and CNU teammate Jay Wyss is the Rookie of the Year.
Captains coach Keith Maurer is both the men's and women's Coach of the
Year.
The USA South Cross Country championships
are Saturday, Oct. 30 at Hagan Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, NC.
