Greensboro, N.C. – The Christopher Newport men’s cross country team won its 13th straight USA South Conference championship and Husein Nasiro Sigo of Methodist College won his second consecutive individual championship at Hagan Stone Park on Saturday.

Nasiro Sigo, a sophomore from Koffela, Ethiopia ran a 26:02 time over the 8K course. CNU’s David Barham and Daniel Swale placed second and third to lead the Captains.

Greensboro College, which finished second with 52 points, was paced by Michael Barnard and Doug Holbrook. The seniors placed fourth and fifth respectively.

Cory Scott and David Woodson of CNU finished 6th and seventh and spots and rounded the 2005 USA South championships meet team.
