FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for men's and women's cross country.  A total of 28 student-athletes were named to the USA South All-Conference team for men's or women's cross country.  

Greensboro College had five student athletes earn all-conference honors. Mike Barnard, Doug Holbrook and Bett Shelby earned first team distinction. Named to the USAS second team were Pride harriers Jasmin Duncan and Johnnie Williams.

Christopher Newport University's Emily Low and Liz Bissell were named Runner and Rookie of the Year, respectively, on the women's side.  On the men's side, Methodist College's Husein Nasiro-Sigo has been named Runner of the Year and Christopher Newport's David Woodson has been selected the Rookie of the Year.  Christopher Newport coach Keith Maurer is both the men's and women's Coach of the Year.

Greensboro College hosts the 2005 USA South cross country championships on Saturday. The men run at Noon and the women 1 p.m. at Hagan Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, N.C. The official web site is:
