Naglee Earns Honorable Mention All-America Recognition

Erik
Naglee (Gainesville, Fla.) was named to the 26th Annual 2003 College
Sports Information Division III All-America Football Team.
A senior,
Naglee earned honorable mention All-America recognition as a punter.
Naglee is the
first Pride football player to earn the honor. He punted 68 times for an
average of 41.4 yards, which ranked him 5th in the nation. He placed 12
punts inside the 20-yard-line.
He was picked
USA South first team as a punter last month. Naglee also was a second team
all-conference pick as a kicker. He connected on four field goals and made
13 extra points. Naglee closed his Pride career with four first team and
three second team all-conference awards.
Additionally,
Naglee was one of three Pride student-athletes chosen to the College Sports
Information Director's (CoSIDA) Regional College Division Football Team.
He's a member of the conference academic team and Athletic Director's honor
roll. Naglee maintains a 3.23 grade point average.
A total of
123 players from 76 schools were named to the 26th Annual 2003 College
Sports Information Division III All-America Football Team on Wednesday.
"This caps
off a highly decorated career for Erik and he deserves it," said GC Head
Coach Neal Mitchell. "As a student
and a football player he represents what we're all about at Greensboro
College."
The ballot
included 321 players representing 130 of the NCAA Division III (non-scholarship)
football-playing institutions.
