10 All-USA South Team Honors

Fayetteville, N.C. -- The
Greensboro College Football team placed ten student athletes on the All
USA South team, announced the conference office today.
Leading the way for The Pride was
John
Sheridan (Colombus, IN/Colombus North). The senior led the USA South
conference in punting (36.9 average) and was GC's lone first team pick.
The senior also placed eight punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
Greensboro placed four student-athletes
on the conference's second team: David Baity (Lexington, NC/Central
Davidson), Charles Cobb (Freehold, NJ/Boro), Corey Eadie (St.
Stephens, S.C./Timberland) and Justin Patterson (Gibsonville, NC/Eastern
Guilford).
Defensive lineman Baity recorded
30 tackles and had a team-leading eight tackles for loss for The Pride.
A senior, he also had 2.5 sacks and recovered one fumble.
Cobb, a defensive back, recorded
37 tackles for GC. Fellow senior Patterson had 27.5 tackles and five tackles
for loss from his defensive end position.
Eadie, a freshman wide receiver,
set a school record with 56 receptions. He had 533 receiving yards and
three touchdowns for The Pride.
Selected to the USA Honorable Mention
team were: senior offensive lineman Lee Meekins (Waves, NC/Wanchese
Christian); Junior offensive lineman Stephen Herring (Greensboro,
NC/Page); Senior defensive end Alan Revels (Durham, NC/Jordan);
Senior linebacker Brad Curtis (Graham, NC/Graham) and senior defensive
back Mantron Davis (Pinehurst, NC/Pinecrest).
The Pride closed the 2004 season
with a 2-8 record. GC, however, earned its first ever win over a ranked
opponent when they defeated #30 Shenandoah (24-19). GC also bested cross-town
rival Guilford, 21-7.
