Dixie Conference Championship Match
Greensboro 2, CNU 1

Short-handed Greensboro rallied from a 1-0 deficit to qualify for its 9th straight NCAA post-season appearance.

A red card in t he 21st minute forced The Pride (15-4) to play one man short. CNU's Nick Yannitiello opened the match's scoring in the 33rd minute when he kicked in a rebound.

In the 51st minute, Greensboro had another disqualification. Seven minutes later, however, Ben Maxwell tied the match on a cross from Aaron Holcomb. Maxwell, the tournament MVP, scored the game-winner in the 82nd minute on another cross--this one from Jason Papaj. GC was playing 9 men to CNU's 10 (due to Captain ejection) when the winning goal was scored.

GC's Matt Brown had 6 saves and improved to 8-0. Martin Zelada stopped 3 shots for the Captains (10-8-1). GC outshot CNU, 9-8. Box score

#1 CNU 2, #4 Methodist 1 (2 OT/PKs)
After 2 OTs, the match went to a shoot-out and was tied, 1-1.CNU made 3 PKs to MC's 2. CNU's Chris Madrid tied the match in the 82nd minute. MC's Bryan Madej scored in the 62nd minute to give the Monarch's a 1-0 lead. The match was tied at halftime. The Monarchs out-shot the Captains, 4-2, in the first 45 minutes. Box score
