The USA South Athletic Conference
announced its mens soccer team and Greensboro College earned eight honors,
including four first team picks.
Tony Falvino (Johnsonville,
NZ/Onslow College), Samuel Hale (Upper Marlboro, MD/DeMatha Catholic),
Aaron Holcomb (Pickerington, OH/Pickerington) and Galen Reid
(Greensboro, NC/Page) were named to the conference first team.
A senior midfielder, Holcomb leads
GC with 17 points (6 goals and 5 assists). Forward Reid is right behind
with 7 goals and 2 assists (16 points). Falvino and Hale led a GC defense
that allows just 0.84 goals per game.
Earning second team recognition was
sophomore defender Matt Mulvena. Honorable mention honors went to
goalkeeper Matt Brown (Delaware City, DE/William Penn), freshman
forward Eric Hatchett (Gibsonville, NC/NE Guilford), and junior
midfielder Richard Engel (Richmond, VA/Midlothian).
