Bridgewater Wins Regional Soccer Battle Over Greensboro, 1-0

Greensboro, N.C. -- Ben Ostrander scored the match's only goal in the fifth minute to lift visiting Bridgewater over Greensboro College, 1-0, at Pride Field on Tuesday.
The win was BC's fourth straight and extended its unbeaten string to 10 games. The loss snapped a Pride three-match winning streak. GC entered the match ranked fourth in the South region and Bridgewater was rated ninth.
On the scoring play, Matt Brock hurled a long throw-in that was deflected by Jon Small in front of the goal. Ostrander then headed the ball past Pride goalkeeper Matt Brown (4 saves).
Greensboro out shot the Eagles, 15-11. The meeting was the first ever in men's soccer between the two schools.
