Newport News, Va. -- Greensboro College and Christopher Newport University played to a 1-1 tie in double overtime before 850 fans at CNU on Saturday. The match pitted the South's fourth ranked club (GC) vs. the region's number eight team (CNU).

Both scores took place in the first half. Greensboro freshman Zack Peacock tied the game in the 40th minute. Galen Reid (Page HS) earned the assist on the scoring play.

The Captains out-shot The Pride 17-8. GC goalkeeper Matt Brown grabbed 8 saves for the visitors.
