Volleyball Player of the Week

Katie Smith: The junior from Colfax, NC led the Pride to a four match sweep on the week.  She hit .412 over the course of 12 games and recorded 51 kills, 11 service aces and 10 digs.  Her performance at the GC Volleyball Alumnae Invitational, where the Pride defeated Guilford, Meredith and Lynchburg, all 3-0, earned her the tournament's Most Valuable Player award.  GC won the tournament title.  The team also picked up a 3-0 win over Methodist earlier in the week.

Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week

Ibraheem Muhammad: The freshman from Chesterfield, VA was instrumental in the Pride going 1-1 this week.  He recorded a hat trick in the 5-0 victory over Washington & Lee.  The Pride also lost to Mary Washington, 2-1 in double overtime.
