David Sutton Led 2007 Greensboro
College Men's Tennis Team
Under the direction of second year Head Coach Dave McCain, the Greensboro College tennis teams had some major achievements. Topping the list was David Sutton's outstanding season.
GC went 2-4 in conference but suffered three heartbreaking 5-4 defeats in its dual season. The Pride also produced two all conference netters in juniors Francois Theriault and Sutton.
Sutton was regionally-ranked and earned conference player of the year accolades. He finished the year a perfect 12-0 at number one singles and is GC’s first ever conference men’s tennis player of the year.
“Our teams battled all year and worked hard to improve,” said Coach McCain. “David Sutton had a truly outstanding year. Francois also showed tremendous improvement and which bodes well for next year”
