In conjunction with the 2001 Dixie Conference men's basketball tournament, Greensboro College has selected the top ten performers in its program history. The individuals selected needed to be former GC men's basketball
student-athletes.

The Pride top ten was invited to this year's tournament in Newport News, Va. They will be honored with former basketball playing members representing the other DIAC institutions on Friday, Feb. 23 at Christopher Newport University--host of the 2001 tournament.

The men are listed with their current residence, and years played for
Greensboro College.

Russell Anderson (Pickens, SC) 1986-89

Fourth on G.C. All-time scoring list with 1,517 points....One time DIAC first team pick....Two-time DIAC second team pick.

Brad Apple (Kernersville, NC) 1991-94

Eighth on GC scoring list with 1,290 points.... Pride single-season
three-point shooting leader (.538)....First GC basketball player to play professionally (Europe)....Member of 25-4 1994 Elite Eight/DIAC champion team.

Kevin Beard (Greensboro, NC) 1992-95

Second all-time Pride scorer with 1,643 points...All time assists leader (603)....Played guard and was third in career shot blocks 607...Two-time DIAC Tournament M.V.P. ...Two time first team All-Dixie..Second team All-DIAC....Member of 25-4 Elite Eight team in 1994....Member of NCAA second round team in 1995....Played professionally in Korea.

Clarence Caldwell (Fayetteville, NC) 1974-77

Greensboro College All-time scoring leader with 2,354 points...Career rebounds leader with 1,008....1876 DIAC Tourney M.V.P....Ranks ninth all-time among NCAA Division III single season scorers with 32.ppg mark set in 1975-76....Ranks 14th in NCAA Division III in scoring average....Has GC single game scoring mark of 47 points....His best GC team went 17-7, 12-5 Dixie in
1975-76.

Jeff Dastmalchian (Houston, TX) 1989-90

Fourteenth on GC all-time points list with 938...Played just two years for The Pride....First team DIAC....Second team Dixie pick....DIAC Tourney team....Scored 38 points in a game--the fifth best single-game mark in Greensboro history.

Damon Forney (Beaufort, SC) 1978-81

Sixth on G.C. scoring list with 1,437 points....Three-time first team All-DIAC performer....19th in NCAA Career field goal percentage (63.1%)....GC single season field goal percentage leader (68.9%).

Marcus Keith (Raleigh, NC) 1983-84

First team All-Dixie Conference pick...DIAC Tournament team....Second team Dixie Conference selection.

Dean Oldham (Greensboro, NC) 1967-70)

Tenth on Pride all-time scoring list with 1,272 points....Two-time first team Dixie selection....Member of GC's first Dixie champion team that finished 15-10, 11-1 DIAC in 1967-68.

Greg O'Steen (Greensboro, NC) 1971-74

Third on Greensboro College scoring list with 1,592 points....Two-time first team Dixie Conference selection.

Cory White (Trenton, NJ) 1991-94

Seventh on all-time scoring list with 1.326 points....Member of 25-4 Elite Eight/Dixie Champion team of 1994....Dixie first team pick....Two-time DIAC second team selection.... Dixie all-tourney team.... Second on GC shot-block list with 59.
