GC completed its fifth year of varsity swimming. In dual meet competition, Greensboro’s best result was a tie with Hood College in November. Yet it was the individual performances that took the spotlight for this year’s team. 

 Highlights from the Atlantic States Championships:
       •  Tracey Comume finished 14th in 50  Free (27.90) out of 47.
       •  Amanda Sharp finished 18th in 100 Fly (1:14.02).
       •  Kristen Wills finished 18th in 200 Free (2:34.09).
       •  Tracey Comune finished 13th in 100 Breast (1:20.53).
       •  Tracey Comune finished 15th in 200 Breast (2:59.18).
       •  Amanda Sharp finished 13th in 200 Fly (2:46.97).

Last year, the GC women finished fifth at the Atlantic meet. Lloyd and The Pride hope to return to form next season. Sharp, a junior,  is the only upperclass member of the team. 

The rest of The Pride are freshmen or sophomores. Comune , a sophomore from Pequannock, NJ is another dual sport star at GC. She jumped in the pool after a standout season on the Pride cross country team. She set a GC record of 21:58 on the cross country course. She later finished ninth at DIAC meet and earned second team All-Dixie honors.
