Constantino and Pittman Earn All-USA
South Softball Honors

Two Greensboro College student-athletes
were named to USA South softball team, the conference office announced
today. Frances Constantino (Burnsville,
NC/Mountain Heritage) and Jamie Pittman
(Fuquay-Varina, NC/Fuquay-Varina) earned second team honors for the second
consecutive season.
Constantino, a junior outfielder,
leads The Pride in batting with a .390 average. GC's leadoff hitter is
also the team leader in stolen bases (15-18) and runs scored (19) for GC.
Pittman, a sophomore, earned all-conference
honors as a designated hitter. She's hitting .306 in USA South contests
and .275 overall. Pittman is the club leader in doubles (5) and RBI (15)
GC (12-16-2) opens play in the USA
South Tournament on Friday. The Pride plays Shenandoah in a 1 p.m. game
in Raleigh, N.C.
