Game Two: GC 8, NCWC 2
Rocky Mount, N.C. -- Kelly Cooper went 3-4 at the plate and scored one run to lead Greensboro College to an 8-2 at NC Wesleyan on Friday. The victory gave The Pride (19-7, 7-2) a doubleheader sweep of the Bishops (9-11, 0-4). 

The Pride erupted for six runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. Margaret Hamm (1-3, 2B, run, RBI) and Jenee Johnson (1-4, 2B, run, 2 RBI) both knocked RBI doubles in the inning.

Frances Constantino (2-3, run, stolen base) and Jessica Clack (2-3, 2 runs, RBI) also had multiple hit games for The Pride. GC added two runs in the sixth inning.

Pride starting pitcher Kristen Slade (5-4) earned the win. She scattered 7 hits and walked and struck out two Bishops. Jordan Davenport worked the seventh inning. She gave up one hit, struck out two and walked one batter.

Shelley Hinson was 3-3 at the plate for Bishops.

Game One: GC 6, NCWC 1 
Rocky Mount, N.C. -- Jennifer Simms went 3-4 and scored one run as visiting Greensboro College defeated NC Wesleyan, 6-1, in the first game of a USA South doubleheader on Friday. The Pride knocked 13 hits in the game.

The Bishops took the lead in the first inning on an RBI double by Ashley Bass. The Pride scored two runs, both driven in by freshmen, in the fourth frame.  A sacrifice fly by by Jessica Clack and an RBI single by Jenee Johnson (2-4, RBI) put the Pride ahead 2-0. 

GC added a run in the next inning and Whitney Williams (2-3, run 3 RBI) hit a double in the sixth inning that drove in three runs for the final margin.

Eric Brown (3-1) earned the victor for Greensboro. The freshman allowed three hits, struck out six Bishops and walked four. Jamie Pittman (2-4, run) and also had a multiple hit game for GC.
