Greensboro College Softball participated in the NCAA Youth Education through Sports (YES) Clinics at both the Division I and Division II fastpitch World Series.
Head Coach Kama Tucker, Assistant Coach Theresa Walker, and four student-athletes recently worked at the YES softball Clinics. GC student athletes Margaret Hamm, Lauren Manning, Jessica Clack and Meagan Knight worked with other collegiate coaches and student-athletes from all over the country in Salem, Va for the NCAA Division II World Series YES Clinic.
Tucker was a Field Director at the Division II YES Clinic in Salem, Va and just returned from the NCAA DI YES Clinic in Oklahoma City, OK.
"Serving as a Field Director for both Softball World Series YES Clinics has been an honor," said Tucker. "I have really enjoyed working with Deb Turner, NYSC YES Clinic Director, and helping her test out her Field Director program for the NCAA YES clinics."
Deb selected Suzanne Tadlock (NC High School Coach) and I to serve in this role and I truly enjoyed the experience as I was able to continue to build upon my commitment to clinics and serving the community. I believe that the kids that attended these clinics not only improved their skills within the sport of softball, but they learned life and conditioning skills that will help them to be happier and more successful people on and off the field. After all, sports are just the platform to which we can truly communicate life's greatest lessons."
