Softball Player of the Week

Jennifer Simms (Liberty, NC/Eastern Randolph), Greensboro - The outfielder helped the Pride go 4-1 on the week.  Over the course of four games, she hit .545 with five RBI's.  The Pride defeated Mary Baldwin, 12-3 and 10-2; Methodist, 5-0; and Peace, 7-6.  GC's lone loss of the week came against Methodist, 3-0.

Softball Rookie of the Week
 
Jenee Johnson (Richmond, Va./Hermitage), Greensboro - The freshman outfielder was instrumental in the Pride going 4-1 this week.  She hit .538 with three RBI's over the course of five games.  The Pride defeated Mary Baldwin, 12-3 and 10-2, and had conference wins over Methodist, 5-0, and Peace, 7-6.  GC's lone loss of the week came against Methodist, 3-0.
