2005 Softball Tournament
#1 Methodist Defeats Shenandoah, 4-1
Raleigh, N.C. --   Top-seeded Methodist College beat Shenandoah, 5-1, in a USA South Tournament game at the Buffaloe Creek Athletic Park on Friday.

Jessica Hutzul allowed just three SU hits in the game. She struck out five and walked one batter. Kristen Kennedy and Wendy Heath each collected two hits for the Monarchs.

Catelyn Renninger took the loss for the Hornets.

Methodist faces CNU at 11 a.m. on Saturday. SU plays NC Wesleyan in an elimination game at 7 P.M. on Friday.
