2005 Softball Tournament
Ferrum College Upsets Peace College, 3-2
Raleigh, N.C. --  Sixth-seeded Ferrum College recorded the biggest upset of the day with its 3-2 first round win over third-seeded Peace College game at the USA South Softball Tournament on Friday. The game went eight innings.

Mary Greenway led the Panthers at the plate. She went 2-4 with one run scored. Teammate Tricia Moore hit the tournament's first home run. Kim Cox earned the win for Ferrum. She struck out five batters and walked one.

Lauren Pleasant pitched all eight innings for Peace. She gave up two earned runs struck out four and allowed three base on balls.

Peace faces Averett in an elimination game on Friday at 7 p.m. GC faces Fermum at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
