2005 Softball Tournament
Averett Knocks Peace Out of Tournament, 5-1
Raleigh, N.C. --  Heather Mull led Averett to a 5-1 win over Peace College in a USA South Tournament game at the Buffaloe Creek Athletic Park on Friday.

Mull excelled at the plate and on the mound for the Cougars. She scattered six hits and struck out 10 batters as a pitcher. As a hitter, she was 2-3, with 4 RBI. Katie Jimmo also collected two hits for AU.

The third seeded Pacers, who were eliminated from the tournament, were paced by Melanie Legrow. She went 2-3 at the plate.

At 1 p.m. tomorrow Averett faces the loser of Methodist-CNU--which play an 11 a.m. contest.
