Raleigh, N.C. -- Ferrum
College scored two runs on just two hits to defeat Greensboro College,
2-0, at the Buffaloe Creek Athletic Park on Saturday.
Mary Greenway
collected both Panther hits. She tripled in the first inning and was advanced
home on a sacrifice bunt by Jami Reed. FC added an unearned run
in the third inning.
Kim Cox
pitched the shut out for Ferrum. She allowed seven hits and struck out
seven GC batters. No Pride runners advanced as far as third base in the
game.
For Greensboro, Jenee Johnson
went 3-4 and Margaret Hamm was 2-3. Kristen Slade allowed
just two hits and struck out four batters.
