USA South Athletic Conference
2005 Softball Tournament
Shenandoah Knocks #2 Greensboro Out of Tourney, 2-0
April 16, 2005
Raleigh, N.C. --  Tana Bartek pitched a complete game shut out to lead #8 Shenandoah to a 2-0 upset win over Greensboro College at the Buffaloe Creek Athletic Park on Saturday.

Bartek struck out five batters, walked one, and allowed four GC hits to knock the second-seeded Pride out of the USA South Tournament. SU's Alicia Sanders went 2-3 for the Hornets.

The Pride, however, threatened to scored with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. After a walk pinch hitter Kristen Slade, pinch hitter Katie-Meaghan Anderson belted a ball down the left field line and GC had two runners on base. Jenee Johnson, however, grounded out to Bartek for the game's last out.
