(22-12, 12-2) traveled to Danville, VA and won an emotional 5-game match
from Averett (26-9, 13-1) on Thursday night. The Pride handed the Cougars
its first conference loss, and also kept alive its hopes of winning or
sharing the USA South regular season championship.
GC's Lauren Lahmeyer
had three service aces and served Greensboro to the win in the 5th game.
Southeast Guilford alum Ruth Clark had 15 kills and 8 blocks for
GC. The Pride's
Katie Smith recorded a match-high 19 kills. The
Northwest Guilford graduate also had 5 blocks. Sarah Davis added
11 kills and passed for 33 assists. Karen Gordon spiked 10 kills.
