The Greensboro College volleyball program is among the national leaders in handful of categories, according to the most recent data from the NCAA statistical service.
The Pride's Lauren Smith (Raleigh, NC/Milbrook) is first in the nation in hitting percentage. The sophomore boasts a .532 hitting percentage. No other player in Division III is hitting above .500.
Teammate Katie Smith (Colfax, NC/Northwest Guilford) is 21st nationally in hitting (.399). A junior, she also is 28th in the nation in kills per game (4.4).
Additionally, Coach Jean Lojko's Pride is second in team hitting percentage. GC is hitting at a .336 clip for the year.
Greensboro College (14-6, 6-2 USA South) plays at the prestigious Washington University Tournament on Oct. 8 and 9.
