GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro College defeated USA South rival Averett, 3-1, at Hanes Gym on Wednesday night.

Katie Smith (Northwest Guilford) led GC with 29 kills and 8 blocks. Sarah Davis passed for 47 assists and freshman Keshia Judd had 11 kills and hit .533 for the home team. 

The Pride had 22 blocks in the match.

With the win, The Pride closes the year unbeaten (12-0) at home and extends its win streak in Hanes Gym to 17 matches. 

GC is now tied with AU for second in the conference. If Averett defeats CNU on Saturday, Greensboro has a chance to share the conference regular season title.

Courtney Peters and Cassie each spiked 12 kills for the Cougars. Lauren Wells had 42 assists.
