GC Alumnae Invitational

-Greensboro d. Meredith 3-0 (30-19, 30-11, 30-26)
In a battle of unbeaten teams, Sarah Davis led The Pride (6-0) to a 3-0 win over Meredith. Davis had 10 service aces, 11 kills and 37 assists.

The win gave Pride Head Coach Jean Lojko her 498th career victory. Lojko could get number 500 on Saturday at Hanes Gym. Greensboro faces Guilford (10 a.m.) and Emory & Henry (2 p.m.) as the GC Alumnae Invitational wraps up.

Katie Smith added 13 kills for GC. Lauren Powers spiked 9 kills for Meredith (3-1).

GC record 6-0; Streak W6: Up next vs. Guilford and EHC, 9-10, 10 and 2 p.m.

Friday's other games:
-Meredith d. Guilford 3-1 (30-19, 29-30, 30-21, 30-15)
Lauren Powers had 17 kills and 7 blocks to lead the Angels (3-0). For Guilford (2-1) Emily Becher and Kaci Leoffler recorded 14 and 12 kills respectively.

-Emory & Henry d. Guilford 3-0 (30-26, 30-11, 30-17)
Emily Becher had 8 kills for the Quakers. Emily Myers passed for 25 assists and Whitney Erwin had 11 digs for the victorious Wasps. Emory & Henry is now 4-2 and Guilford is 2-2.
