Alumnae Weekend

April 13^th and 14^th, 2007

Forget the old Alumnae Match scheduled in the fall, we are expanding our weekend to include Golf, Reception, Hall of Fame, and Alumnae Match included in the overall Greensboro College Alumni Weekend conducted in April.  Please make your plans now to attend this fun and entertaining weekend of events.

• Announcing the First Ever GC VB Golfblaster to be held Friday April 13^th beginning at 8:00 am at Walnut Woods Golf Course.  It will be a fun morning of Captains Choice golf with prizes for the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin.  This is your chance to play golf with your friends or be a tournament sponsor to help raise funds for new volleyball team room chairs and our trip to Boston in the fall of 2007.   Our goal is to raise $10,000 for these projects.

• If you don’t want to play in the Golfblaster, then come to the 25^th Anniversary Volleyball Reception on Friday night from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm in the Mane Stage at Reynolds Center celebrating Coach Lojko’s 25^th year coaching GC VB.  Besides the food, we will be featuring the 25^th Anniversary Volleyball Video.  You may just get a chance to see yourself and teammates on tape.

• On Saturday morning April 14^th, the GC Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducting their current class.  Come out to support your fellow GC inductees.

• On Sat. afternoon at 4:00 pm in Hanes Gymnasium we will host the GC VB Alumnae Match.  New this year will have our Alumnae versus the Current Team.  Not only will it be fun and competitive, but also gives our current team another opportunity to play during the non-traditional season.

Other Alumni events scheduled for the weekend:

·         Reception on Friday night at Horizon Park (new baseball stadium in downtown Greensboro).

·         Alumni Weekend Luncheon on Saturday in Fowler Dining Hall.

·         Alumni Class meetings on Saturday.

·         Spring Sports Festival USA South Conference Tournaments held all weekend in Burlington, NC.

Other opportunities for you:

• Come out next fall and support the team.  The schedule is online at www.gborocollege.edu  We had another outstanding recruiting year.  As always we expect to be in the mix for the USA South Conference Title.  We need your support!
• Visit the website to review all those Volleyball Records.  You may just hold one of the Greensboro College Volleyball Records.
• While you’re online, please update your information and let us know of any “lost” alumnae information.
