BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Fifteen student-athletes form the 2004 North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) College Division All-State Women's Soccer Team released Tuesday.

Defender Yvette Jones and midfielder Natalie Henderson were all-state picks from Greensboro College. Jones, a senior from Albany, N.Y., and Henderson, a senior from High Point, N.C., both were first-team All-USA South choices. Henderson finished her career third on the school's all-time scoring list with 75 points on 28 goals and 19 assists.

The team consists of NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA student-athletes from North Carolina colleges and universities. Nominees were submitted by North Carolina sports information professionals. NCCSIA members voted for the all-state teams.

The All-State soccer teams include one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and three forwards (plus those involved in ties). Teams are selected for men and women in both the college and university (NCAA Division I) divisions. The women's university division and men's college division teams were announced last week. The men's university division team will be released Thursday.

The 2004 NCCSIA women's soccer college division all-state team is headed by five members of the 2004 Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference champion Mount Olive Trojans.

Founded in 2002, The North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) is comprised of sports information professionals from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and independent institutions from the state of North Carolina. The purpose of the organization is to promote collegiate athletics at all schools. Membership is open to anyone affiliated with a college, university or conference located in North Carolina, and whose area of responsibility lies within sports information. NCSSIA also selects all-state teams for men's and women's basketball, softball and baseball.

NCCSIA Membership information may be obtained from Bob Lowe, treasurer, at blowe@gborocollege.edu or on-line at www.nccsia.org.
