Randy Tuggle has been named assistant women’s
basketball coach at Greensboro College, announced Pride Athletics Director
Kim Strable.
Tuggle, a lifelong Greensboro, N.C. resident, is
the cousin of new GC head coach Jason Tuggle.
A graduate of Northwest Guilford High School, Tuggle
played four years of varsity basketball at UNC Greensboro. In his senior
season, Tuggle was the Spartan team captain.
Tuggle has extensive assistant high school basketball
coaching experience in the Triad. Most recently, he was an assistant boys'
coach at Northwest Guilford for the past two seasons. Prior to that, Tuggle
was a girls' assistant at Southeast Guilford and Western Guilford. At Western,
he coached under Jason Tuggle.
Additionally, Tuggle has been a head coach for the
Greensboro Lady Gaters Under-15 AAU team.
Tuggle and his wife, Susan, reside in Greensboro.
They have a teenage daughter, Lauren. Tuggle is also employed as a broker
for Homestead Mortgage.
