Greensboro College 49, Methodist 48

Fayetteville, N.C. -- Ruthanne Clark (Southeast Guilford HS) made a clutch three-point basket with 1:49 remaining to help Greensboro College (6-4, 2-0) defeat Methodist, 49-48, in a USA South game on Wednesday. 

Clark (13 points) made the big shot as the shot clock expired. Her basket capped 9-2 run by The Pride. GC had trailed 44-38 with 5:09 left in the game.

"Ruthanne really stepped up late in the game--on both offense and defense," said Pride Head Coach Jason Tuggle. "As a team, we played well enough to win and we'll take a conference road victory any time."

Sirlena Moore scored 10 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Christina Daniels tallied 11 points on 5-9 shooting for The Pride. 

Methodist (5-5, 1-2) led 25-23 at the break. Antionett Holiday scored a game-high 15 points for MC.
