Elon 50, Greensboro College 38

Elon, N.C. -- Kim Enoch recorded game-highs of 17 points and 13 rebounds but visiting Greensboro College (4-2) lost to Elon, 50-38, at the Nest on Wednesday night. 

Enoch's layup cut the Elon lead to 8 points (44-36) with 1:28 left. Her basket ended a 9-0 GC run, but the visitors could get no closer. Ruthanne Clark added 9 rebounds and 7 steals for Greensboro College. 

Elon led 20-10 at the break but The Pride outscored the Phoenix 30-28 in the final 20 minutes. 

Kitara McMoore led Elon (1-6) with 11 points and 10 rebounds. 

The home club out-rebounded GC 50-45. The Phoenix out-shot The Pride 35 to 20 percent. EU, however, committed 27 turnovers to Greensboro's 24. 

GC fared much better, however, in its return to facing NCAA Division I teams. The Pride lost at Elon, 91-48, on Jan. 7, 2000 in its last contest against a D-I team.
