Pride Sophomore Roxanne Hyatt in action against Ferrum

Greensboro, NC--The sibling tandem of Lorin Smith and and Maura Smith combined for 19 points (11 goals and 8 assists) as Greensboro College defeated visiting Ferrum, 20-1. It was the season-opener for both teams.

The 20-goal total was the most ever in GC's seven years of women's lacrosse.

Lorin Smith had 7 goals and 4 assist. Maura Smith had 4 goals and 4 assists. Erin Howard added 3 goals and 4 assists for GC.

Carrie Conques had the only goal for the Panthers. 

GC hosts St. Mary's on March 13. Game time is 4 p.m.
