Gregg Gebhard enters his fifth year leading the Greensboro College women's lacrosse team in 2008. Gebhard led the 2007 team to a 10-7 record. Under his direction, GC has won two USAS regular season championships and one conference tournament title. He has a 36-28 record and is the all-time wins leader among in women's lacrosse at GC . During his four years leading The Pride, Gebhard has directed 31 all-conference players, four CoSIDA regional academic team picks, two all-region honorees, and three North-South All-Star. He also coached the 2004 and '07 USA South rookie of the year. Prior to arriving at GC, Gebhard was the head women's lacrosse coach at Pfeiffer University--his alma mater--from 1998 to 2002. During that time he guided the Falcons to the program's first-ever NCAA Division II national ranking. Gebhard was also head coach of Team Charlotte, a high school girl's lacrosse team. The club was organized for girls in Charlotte who did not have a high school lacrosse program. Gebhard also coached the United States all-star team at the 2004 Down Under Cup in Melbourne, Australia. In the summer of 2005, Gebhard took a team to Czechoslovakia for the Prague Cup. Gebhard earned a bachelor's degree from Pfeiffer in 1998. He majored in sports management and minored in business administration. He also served as Pfeiffer's sports information director. A native of Long Island, N.Y., Gebhard was a standout player at Pfeiffer University. A two-time team captain, he was picked to the All Deep South Conference team twice.
