Women's Lacrosse: Greensboro 12, Guilford 7
April 17, 2000
The Greensboro College women's lacrosse team beat Guilford, 12-7, and
swept the two-game series between the two Gate City schools. The Pride
outscored the Quakers 5-1 in the second half.
The home club was led by Lorin Smith (Davidsonville, MD), who
had two goals and two assists. Her sister, Maura Smith (Davidsonville,
MD), added three goals for The Pride.
Guilford had two goals each from Jenn Jankowski, Anne Scharff
and Kate Allen.
Greensboro improved to 5-7, and tied the school record for most wins
in a season. GC gets to better its record when Shenandoah visits for the
season finale on Saturday. First draw is at 12 p.m.
