Women's Lacrosse: Greensboro 14, Shenandoah 3
Pride closes its best season in convincing fashion.

April 22, 2000

The Greensboro College women's lacrosse team beat Shenandoah, 12-7, and set a single season GC record for wins with six. The Pride jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never looked back against the visiting Hornets.

The home club was led by Lorin Smith (Davidsonville, MD), who had eight goals and two assists. Erin Howard (Canton, CT) added three goals for GC. All of her scores occurred in the first half. Howard closes her career with 41 goals, which places her fifth on the GC all-time list. Howard, and fellow seniors Dana Daley and Jessica Hemelt, played their last games for The Pride.

Stephanie Schaeffer had a quiet day in the goal. She recorded four saves. Schaeffer was helped by her teammates, who controlled ball possession most of the game.
