GC 6-5, Rockingham CC 5-2
In the first game The
Pride came back down 5-1 in the last inning to win 6-5. Sophomore Brent
Cole was 1-3 with a 2b and 2 RBI. Junior Larry Lockhart went
1-2 with an RBI and a stolen base. Sophomore AnDrew Keever pitched
2 scoreless innings. Junior Chad Clark picked up the win.
In the second game
sophomore Kris Wiggins was 3-3 at the plate all singles. Fellow
soph Brandon Davis was 1-3 with 2 RBI and a stolen base. Junior
Kevin
Mong was 1-3 with a 2B and a RBI. Junior Jeremy Eagen was 1-2
with a RBI and a stolen base. Freshmen Jeff Pothoven pitched 2 scoreless
innings to earn the win. Clark earned his 4th save of the fall. The Pride
finished 5-0 this fall.
The Pride will play
the Fall World Series Wednesday night starting at 8:30 pm at Grimsley High
School. The consolation game will be played at 7:00 pm. |

GC 7, NCA&T 4
The Pride swept the
NCAA Division I Aggies on Sunday. In the first game, Jeremy Morrison
was 2-3, Zack Tacelli went 3-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Freshman
Brandon
Jorth earned the win. Junior transfer Chad Clark recorded a
save.
GC 4, NCA&T 1
Freshman
Orlando Lugo went 2-3 to lead GC to the sweep. Freshman Justin Nunn
was the winning pitcher and Clark picked up his second save, and also was
2-3 at the plate.
