Greensboro College baseball player AnDrew
Keever (Annapolis, MD/Broadneck) was named All South region. Keever
earned first team all-region as awarded by the American Baseball Coaches
Association (ABCA).
Earlier this year, Keever was tabbed the USA South
pitcher-of-the-year. The sophomore was also named to the all-conference
first team.
Keever posted a 7-4 record and recorded 55 strikeouts
this season. He posted a 2.92 earned run average for The Pride, which
was 21-19 in 2004.
“AnDrew went from being a spot-duty player last
year to this year’s USA South Pitcher-of-the-Year,” said GC Head Coach
Ken
Carlyle. "He had a great year for us and we expect him to continue
to improve over the next two years."
