Brian McGee

Coach Brian McGee is in his fourth year with the Pride in 2007. He is The Pride's infield coach, head JV coach, and third base coach.

The past two years McGee directed the GC defense to its best statistical seasons. The Pride has set 5 defensive records since McGee joined the staff in 2004. The '06 club finished 12th in the entire country in fielding percentage.

Since 2004, the GC infield has had 7 all conference, 4 all region, 2 all state, one USA South player of the year and an All American. Under his direction, the GC JV team has expereienced its most sucess and has had its fullest schedules.

In the summer of '04 coached for the Wilmington Sharks of Coastal Plain League, and in summer of '06 was the head coach for the Lake Erie Monarchs of the Great Lakes League.

A former Tiffin University four year starter, captain, and all conference player, he was selected to play in Europe in the summer of '97 for a collegiate all star team, Team America. 

Before coming to Greensboro, McGee was the assistant head coach at St. Francis High School, head coach at Lorain Catholic in Lorain, OH, and an assistant at The University of Toledo. While at Lorain Catholic, his team won their first district title in 10 years and Coach McGee was named Lorain County Coach of the Year. 

Coach McGee has two brothers: Shawn and Jeremy. His parents, Dennis and Gloria, reside in Lorain, Ohio.
