Jeremy
Morrison, a junior member of the Greensboro College baseball team,
was named to the CoSIDA South region baseball academic first team.
Morrison, an outfielder from of Conestoga,
PA, carries a 3.87 grade point average. He is an English communications
major and is minoring in religion.
A graduate of Penn Manor High School,
Morrison batted .400 and posted a USA South Conference record 26-game hitting
streak. He led The Pride with 39 runs scored and stole 19 of 25 bases.
GC finished the year 21-19. He was a first team All USA South pick.
A three-time member of the Greensboro
College Dean’s List, Morrison also is a member of the Athletic Director’s
Honor Roll and the conference academic team.
Morrison, who received the Craven
E. Williams Scholar Athlete Award and also earned CoSIDA regional academic
second team honors last year, was named the GC baseball MVP earlier this
month. On the same night, he received the Baseball Trey Taylor award for
the second straight season. The honor is presented to the GC player who
puts the team ahead of self.
As a first team regional team member,
Morrison now moves on for CoSIDA National academic team consideration.
