Newport News, Va. --  Larry Lockahrt went 2-4 with a home run and 2 RBI to lead Greensboro College to 6-1 win over CNU the first game of a USA South doubleheader on Saturday. The victory extended GC's winning streak to eight games

AnDrew Keever pitched a complete game (seven innings) and earned the win. He allowed three hits and struck out two batters.

Kevin Mong went 2-4 with 2 RBI and Taylor Kennedy was 2-4 with one run scored for The Pride..

Game 2: CNU 8, GC 4
Newport News, Va. -- John Corbin hit a walk-off grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead CNU to an 8-4 win over Greensboro College in the second game of a USA South twin bill. The loss broke GC's 8-game win streak.

The Pride scored its four runs in the fifth and led 4-2 lead. Brent Justice (1-4, 1 run and two RBI) doubled in Jeremy Morrison (1-4, one run and a stolen base) and Jeff Gregory (1-4, double, one run, one RBI).

The Captains tied the game in the bottom of the sixth inning. Mike Cosby pitched a complete game (nine innings) and earned the win for CNU. He struck out eight and walked three GC batters.

Kevin Mong pitched the first 6 1/3 and allowed four runs for The Pride. Steve Augone three two complete innings and took the loss for the visitors.
