Newport News, Va. -- Five Greensboro College players had two hits each and Chad Bray pitched completed game shutout as The Pride beat CNU, 9-0, and won the rubber game of the three-game USA South series.
GC struck with four runs in the first inning and never looked back. Greensboro knocked 13 hits off of three Captain hurlers. Larry Lockhart continued his hot streak and led The Pride. He went 2-3, with a double, a triple and 3 RBI for the visitors.
Taylor Kennedy was 2-4, with a triple, 2 runs and 2 RBI. Brent Justice hit 2-3, with 3 runs and a stolen base. Jeremy Morrison was 2-4, with 2 runs and a stolen base. Rounding out multiple hit GC batters was Chad Alligood, (2-5, with 1 run and 1 RBI.
Bray allowed four hits, struck out two Captains and gave up no walks as he improved to 4-1 on the year.
