Greensboro College's Kevin Mong and Larry Lockhart were picked to the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) All-South Region second team today. The two seniors helped GC to a 24-16 record, the third most wins in GC baseball history.

A native of Franlkin, PA, Mong was a three-time Pride team MVP. He led the 2005 club in batting average (.380), hits (54), doubles (15) and RBIs (39). An infielder, Mong was picked to the CoSIDA regional academic team last month.

Lockhart was named the 2005 USA South Player of the Year--the first GC baseball player to capture the honor. He hit .371 for The Pride and knocked a team-leading six home runs and 39 RBIs. An outfielder, Lockhart hails from Monroe, NC.

Both Mong and Lockhart were first team All-USA South picks. The two were also selected to the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) college division all-state baseball team last month.
