Scott Rash enters his ninth season as head coach of The Pride, after starting the program from scratch in 1993. The Pride enjoyed its best season in 1998, going  27-13, winning the Dixie Conference Tournament, and making its first appearance ever in the NCAA Tournament.

Through the 2000 regular season, Rash has led GC to an all-time record of 151-149-4 (.503). His victory total includes five consecutive 20-win seasons and a record of 125-101-5 since 1995. Rash also distinguished himself as a college player at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia. He was a four-time All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection, and was honored as ODAC Player-of-the-Year during his senior season. While at Randolph-Macon, Rash earned a bachelor of science degree in business/economics in 1989. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in recreation, parks and tourism at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG).

As a college coach, he now spends his summers working various baseball camps throughout the Southeast, including the Best In Virginia, Old Dominion University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University, and his own Greensboro College camps.

In the year 2000, Rash was promoted to assistant athletic director for recruitment and marketing. In addition to coaching The Pride, Rash will also spearhead athletic recruitment and marketing efforts for GC's 16 intercollegiate athletic teams.
