Its reputation as a strong and continually growing program is identified with the addition of football and softball to athletics during the past eight years. Since 1989, Greensboro has added eight sports to its repertoire and each has succeeded on both a conference and national scale.
In the 1998-99 athletic season, Greensboro College finished 34th--the highest in GC history--in the Sears Directors' Cup standings.
